A ministry to help children who are adopted or are entering foster care in northeast Allegan County, Michigan
When an adoption occurs or grandparents, family members or concerned caregivers become foster parents, such a life-changing event can become difficult due to unplanned expenses. Our Children’s Hope Program will help ease this burden.
Often when children are adopted or enter the foster care system – when they change into a new family – they come with little clothing, basic personal care items or furniture. We offer a “suitcase of hope” with items such as:
- pants/shorts
- shirts/blouses
- underwear
- shoes / boots
- coats / sweatshirts
- blankets and bedding
- special toy or game
- a few books
The child will also receive a Bible with a verse of blessing with the “hope of Christ” for their life.
The offer of Children’s Hope extends to 18-year olds who age out of the foster care system. Documentation / verification is required.
